Adjacent properties
This area is surrounded by one home to the NNW, and a permanent commercial structure to the west of that other property. There was a German Shepherd at the commercial site, (which is for sale), but we didn’t see any other folks when we were there last. To the north is a series of temporary domiciles, i.e. camping trailers and a shipping container with an external vestibule. To the SW are a series of RVs and cars. The only two permanent or semi- permanent structures are the aforementioned to the NW and NNW.
Land features
It’s flat and the ground is relatively compact. Likely easy to build on. There is no direct road to the land. Closest is the driveway for the properties to the North. The Eastern frontage borders State land, insuring that this property is not landlocked. The ground itself is covered in brush and sporadic rock.
Nearby resources
It’s about 30 minutes to Winslow, which has a grocery store and restaurants, basic small-town stuff. More goods and services can be found in Flagstaff, about 45 minutes West of Winslow. There is also a nearby recreation area, Clear Lake Reservoir, which has a picturesque stream and a boat launch, as well as a picinc area and campground.
Driving Directions
The route to the property is best described as coming from a corner in Winslow, Arizona. Turn south on US 87/AZ 99. Head down just a few miles, under the railroad tracks (Winslow exists because of the Eagles song nowadays, but BNSF is the major employer), and youll see the turn for AZ 99. Take that left. Drive 15-20 miles until you reach Stetson and take that left into the abyss. All of the directions are included in the *.KML file which can be loaded into Google Earth to show the precise route and other info.
Road conditions
The route to the property is easily driven in any vehicle. Once you leave AZ 99 though, its all easily traversed dirt/gravel until the parcel area.

Nearby Attractions/City
Holbrook
“What began as a town too tough for women and churches, is now too good to miss”
Holbrook began as a town of railroaders and cattlemen, outlaws and rugged lawmen. Today it is a city steeped in Native American culture, Hispanic roots and pioneers from all walks of life. In this community is the heart of Navajo County, the gateway to the stunning Petrified Forest National Park and the trip that needs to be taken along Historic Route 66. Rich in diversity and welcoming to all, Holbrook is where your adventure begins.
Petrified Forest National Park
Experience one of the world’s largest and most vibrantly colored assemblies of petrified wood, historic structures, and archaeological sites at Petrified Forest National Park. 200-million-year-old fossils tell the tale of the prehistoric earth and its inhabitants in Arizona’s Painted Desert.
But there’s more than wood to the Petrified Forest’s history. You can see remnants of more than 13,000 years of human history at the park, including Puerco Pueblo – a nearly 800-year-old, 100-room dwelling, a diverse, extensive collection of prehistoric pottery fossils and even a protected section of historic Route 66.
Winslow
Whistling a tune known the world over is what you do when you’re at Winslow’s Standin’ On a Corner Park, which capitalizes on the song’s multi-decade fame. In the same block, you’ll find the Old Trails Museum which houses memorabilia – much of it donated by citizens – that tells the history of a town shaped by American Indians and Western pioneers.
Hiking enthusiasts, you will want to head just north of town to Homolovi State Park, where you can walk the trails around archaeological sites and ponder the petroglyphs of the Hopi ancestors that lived in the region until AD 1400.
