Description

Feeling exhausted from life’s daily routine? Isn’t it time to enjoy life with all of the marvelous moments that will invigorate your being? Escape from the city and experience the quiet tranquility of the peaceful Apache Sitgreaves National Forest. Now is the time to unwind and relax on this beautiful 5 acre parcel in Navajo County. An ideal place to build your dream home or use it as your favorite recreational spot to spend some precious time away from bustling city life.

This parcel is relatively flat and moderately wooded. It would be easy to drive an RV out here and camp until your hearts content. There are some occupied properties within a mile or so of this site, but overall it was very quiet. There was no cell service here and no evidence of utilities.

There are several ways to reach this property. However, the route we recommend, with the best roads that are navigable by normal 2 wheel drive vehicles, is the route that starts on HWY 377 at the Duck Lake Rd turn off. We have driving directions posted down below. Just follow the map for about 25 miles until you reach the parcel. Once you reach the property, you’ll notice a small white mobile home to the south. This appears to be a hunting camp as we found no evidence of anyone living there full time.

Nearby Attractions/City

Winslow

Whistling a tune known the world over is what you do when you’re at Winslow’s Standin’ On a Corner Park, which capitalizes on the song’s multi-decade fame. In the same block, you’ll find the Old Trails Museum which houses memorabilia – much of it donated by citizens – that tells the history of a town shaped by American Indians and Western pioneers.

Hiking enthusiasts, you will want to head just north of town to Homolovi State Park, where you can walk the trails around archaeological sites and ponder the petroglyphs of the Hopi ancestors that lived in the region until AD 1400.

Holbrook

“What began as a town too tough for women and churches, is now too good to miss”

Holbrook began as a town of railroaders and cattlemen, outlaws and rugged lawmen. Today it is a city steeped in Native American culture, Hispanic roots and pioneers from all walks of life. In this community is the heart of Navajo County, the gateway to the stunning Petrified Forest National Park and the trip that needs to be taken along Historic Route 66. Rich in diversity and welcoming to all, Holbrook is where your adventure begins.
